JOINING THE GROUP

MINORS : If a member is under 18 then an adult parent or guardian must also join the group and live at the same address as the junior or youth member ; alternatively a member who is a relative can act as responsible adult providing that they have full loco parentis from parent or guardian. JUNIORS : A junior member is classed as any minor up to 12 years of age. YOUTHS : A youth is anyone aged 13 and over up to 18. A youth member is eligible for group based promotions and can claim travel expenses to and from events, whereas a junior cannot.
MEMBERSHIP DETAILS : Membership of Northumbria Vikings is on an annual basis from 1st January to 31st December each year, with subs due for renewal via the group in November each year. Anyone joining for the first time after the start of September in any year gets the following year included. Membership of Northumbria Vikings also provides concurrent membership of the national society “The Vikings” (click on the logo bottom right for more details). Members must be over 18 otherwise special conditions apply as noted right. Membership costs :- • £ 24.00 for an adult member • £ 15.00 for a youth member (over 12) • £ 1.00 for a junior member
